Barakuda Diving
Location: Mashraba south
The “Barakuda Diving Center“ is located in the hotel "Lagona Village", just in front of the divesite "Islands". The hotel attached has it's own private beach, restaurant, snack-bar, Shisha-Cafe, and a big swimming pool, with sun beds and umbrellas.
The Diving Center is managed by Susanne Rossbach and Sonja Michel, offering, since 1999, professional diving service in Dahab with their team.
Diving Education:
The Diving Education is following the standards of Barakuda/CMAS, PADI and SSI and can be held in German, English, French, Italian and Arabic. We offer education from beginner through divemaster level, right up to Assistant-Instructor. The range of Specialty-Courses include: Nightdiving, Orientation, UW Videographer, Nitrox as well as Drift. Dives are mainly shore dives and we are diving with small groups. With Jeeps our divers are transferred to the dive spots with major drop offs and fascinating coral gardens.

Our diving center is equipped with 30 full sets of gear for rental as well as 120 Aluminium tanks 12 L with DIN/INT. Equipment for kids is also available. Academic sessions for diving courses are held in a big class room equipped with TV and Video/DVD. Furthermore there is a workshop as well as a huge equipment dry room for our guests. On our big terrasse divers meet after diving.
Divesites:
All the diving sites are attainable from the shore, where we go to by Jeep. We are located close to the most beautiful and exciting diving sites such as "Blue Hole" or "Canyon", which we can reach in maximum 30 Minutes Dahab is offering around 20 divespots. Our fascinating housereef the “Islands” can be entered nearly at all times.
Daily Trips:
All the dive sites are attainable from the shore, which we go to by Jeep.
For the first dive in the morning we depart around 9:00 am, the second dive will be at 14:00 pm after the surface intervall. We are spending the surface intervall at restaurants beside the dive sites, where we have a huge variety of menus, which are fresh prepared and very tasty!
The entries of the divesites do have a difference in difficulty: at some divesites we do have a sandy beach, others do have rocks to walk over; however there are also divesites, where you can just dive on high tide, as it is necessary to enter by snorkeling over the reef. The daily plan of which dive sites we go to is depending on wind and weather conditions. However we are certainly committed to give our divers a most attractive package, to dive every day at a different dive site. Of course there are also divesites which are independant from wind and weather, such as Blue Hole, Canyon, Lighthouse, Ras Um Sid, Golden Blocks, Three Pools.
