In Dahab you can get a lot of computer- and phone-equipment for a very cheap prize.
Mobile
If you make international phonecalls with your mobile, think about buying an egypian SIM-card. Its fast, its easy and the international calls are much cheaper (~ 4 LE or 45 Eurocent per minute, depending on the company).
Basic card-set costs from 120 LE, further credits are available in all supermarkets from 10 LE to 100 LE.
Ask the staff to change the language-system to english. You can use both Mobinil and Vodafone cards. (Vodafone: dial 868 for actual balance, 858 for loading credit and 848 for finishing time of card).
